Woke British Karen triggered by Kristi Noem ICE recruitment posters gets ads removed in Framingham
Shoppers World in Framingham said posters "do not reflect our stated mission"
Shoppers World in Framingham will remove the ICE recruitment posters at EV charging stations featuring Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem saying the posters “do not reflect our stated mission.”
The move is seen as a big win for Woke British Karen and Inkhouse PR firm EVP Samantha McGarry, who seems disproportionately concerned about how the borders of the country she’s a guest in are enforced.
Noem launched the ads in July to “to recruit brave and heroic Americans to join ICE as federal law enforcement agents and remove the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from America’s streets.” The jobs include up to a $50,000 signing bonus.
McGarry according to her profile is a “a Brit in the USA working with so many badass acrivists [her spelling] & social justice warriors to keep our communities safe from gun violence.”
McGarry is apparently also a fan of Captain Obvious: “My mantra: nothing changes if nothing changes.”
Posting on Threads (so we are not sure how anyone actually saw the complaint) and tagging Shell Oil who runs the EV charging station at the Route 9 plaza, McGarry asked “@shell you cool with this? Cos I'm SO not as well as many many others in my city (Located in Shoppers World, Framingham MA)”
Sometime yesterday, about seven hours after her original Threads post McGarry informed her followers that the ads would go, according to her, the property owner Urban Edge said:
“Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. While the ads were sold & posted by 3rd parties, they do not reflect our stated mission. The ads have been taken down & we are determining how to increase oversight moving forward. Thank you for your support of Shoppers World & hope you will continue to visit as we aim to be a productive & respectful partner to the local community.”
Crisis averted. Virtue signaled.
At Inkhouse, a PR firm with offices on the east and west coast (nothing in flyover country honey, don’t worry) McGarry is the executive vice president of “story crafting.”
Her courageous exploits against the paper posters were first praised by the TDS infected blog Universal Hub.
