US Atty Foley says AG Campbell is telling "tall tale stories" of Trump retribution
Yesterday on 'GBH Campbell relayed a second hand accounting of an incident at Logan Airport
US Attorney Leah Foley fresh off the capture of the alleged Harvard Medical School explosion suspects laced into state Attorney General Andrea Campbell for “unverified accounts of retribution” the junior law enforcement official made on ‘GBH radio earlier in the day inferring that Logan Airport employees faced retribution for meeting with Governor Maura Healey.
Foley said Campbell is “welcome to share her opinions and tall tale stories (even when she admits she does not know all the facts and conveniently maligns to fill the voids), but her overtly political and inaccurate statements only fuel the misinformation and fear that she purportedly seeks to quell.”
Campbell was “lifting up” a second hand story, sparse on details, that she originally heard from Healey.
According to Campbell, Healey “extended gratitude” to airport employees for working without pay during the shutdown and that alleged airport employees were “chastised or something happened, I don’t have all the details, but something occurred post her extending that gratitude, were they were in some way called into some meeting or something, because maybe the President got wind that she extended that gratitude.”
Hosts Jim Braide or Margery Eagan did not question Campbell’s version of events.
“Wow,” Eagan breathlessly exclaimed.
