Healey's big bucks, hauls $418K
Minogue donates or loans committee $1M+
Top line fundraising numbers for gubernatorial candidates released yesterday indicate that Maura Healey retains a clear fundraising advantage heading into the holiday season having collected $418K in October while spending a measly $60K to increase her overall cash on hand to $4.4M.
Newcomer Mike Minogue donated/loaned his campaign over a million dollars but Mike Kennealy ended the month with $1.2M cash, the most on hand of the GOP rivals.
Shortsleeve ended October with $608K on hand and won Chester Tam’s completely unscientific straw poll earlier this week, edging Kennealy by one point.
Detailed accounting of candidate receipts (including potential loans) and expenditures will be posted to OCPF next week.
Kennealy has loaned his committee $200,000 per month for several months in a row and may or may not have exceed candidate loan limitations. In prior months the Kennealy Committee has listed the loan as “Loan Pending Legal Determination.”
In an X post Minogue said his bag included $373,079 in donor contributions, just over a million in “candidate contributions” and $448K in “matching contributions.”
Each candidate now has at least one - but completely uncoordinated - supporting super PAC.
