BREAKING: Toby Leary's Cape Gun Works channel banned by YouTube
"10 years of content and 26,000 + subscribers deleted!"
The YouTube channel for Cape Gun Works hosted by outspoken 2A advocate Toby Leary has been banned just two days away from when prior “community guidelines violations” were set to expire.
Last week YouTube and parent company Google admitted they banned users for political motivations during the Biden administration.
But according to Leary, the video that got him banned was from six months ago.
“We have reviewed your content and found severe or repeated violations,” YouTube wrote to Leary in a message he posted to X.
On free speech platform X Leary said, “Well, I guess it was bound to happen. Constantly moving Target of community guidelines and going back looking at every video we’ve posted over the past 10 years has led to our account being shut down. We were two days away from one strike going away, which would have kept our Channel alive for whatever the current strike was.”
Leary recently interviewed the attorney for Kyle Culotta being held for a 2A violation for over 90 days based upon a judge’s “dangerousness” ruling. The YouTube video is gone but Cape Gun Works just posted it to X.
Leary is asking fans to subscribe to his other YouTube channel, RapidFireTalkRadio.
“We know this is probably upsetting news,” YouTube continued, “But its our job to make sure YouTube is a safe place for all.”
